| As part of the Kundrati Liberal Alliance's campaign to reduce the militarisation of the police force, we want police officers to ditch their military-grade equipment, unnecessary in a civilian police force, and to only carry non-lethal weapons. However, this does come with the caveat that specially trained firearms units will exist and will be able to respond rapidly to a situation where their presence is necessary. Otherwise, mediation and negotiation tactics will be employed in order to bring peaceful resolutions to as many incidents as possible. |
