Bill: Revised Tax Resolution of 4185

Details

Submitted by[?]: New Democrats

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill proposes to change income taxes. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: June 4186

Description[?]:

I am pleased to announce the government's new plan for taxes going forward.

- Tax brackets left unchanged
- Top tax bracket pays 5% increase
- Second-highest bracket pays 5% increase
- Third-highest bracket pays 5% increase
- Corporate tax lowered 10%

- This tax plan, combined with our budget, keeps the government with a comfortable maintained surplus. It also lowers the corporate tax, a tax that is eventually passed onto consumers at point of sale, while raising taxes on the uber-wealthy to make up for the lost revenue and to not raise the level of income inequality.

Random fact: The voters enjoy active parties who take upon themselves the initiative to create laws.

Random quote: "A strong body makes the mind strong. As to the species of exercises, I advise the gun. While this gives moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprise and independence to the mind. Games played with the ball, and others of that nature, are too violent for the body and stamp no character on the mind. Let your gun therefore be your constant companion of your walks." - Thomas Jefferson
