Bill: Abolition of Price Controls Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Grand National Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: July 4187
Description[?]:
Mr Speaker, price controls have a detrimental effect on the development of pharmaceutical drugs as they often hinder the dissemination of new products by keeping prices below market value, potentially leading companies to postpone their introduction into the market until they can lower production costs. We therefore propose to abolish these limitations while still retaining public funding for research and development in order to accelerate health care solutions.
