Bill: Media Privatization Act 4187

Details

Submitted by[?]: Fortschrittsvereinigung

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: July 4188

Description[?]:

We have believed for a very long time that there is absolutely no need for a nationalized television or radio industry; no only can the private sector provide all this more efficiently without any forced cost to the tax payer, but there is quite frankly no justification for the government getting involved in such matters.

Random fact: "Treaty-locking", or ratifiying treaties that completely or nearly completely forbid any proposals to change laws, is not allowed. Amongst other possible sanctions, Moderation reserves the discretion to delete treaties and/or subject parties to a seat reset if this is necessary in order to reverse a treaty-lock situation.

Random quote: "We must face the fact that the preservation of individual freedom is incompatible with a full satisfaction of our views of distributive justice." - Friedrich August von Hayek
