Bill: Worker's Rights Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Democracy Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: September 4198
Description[?]:
This measure would institute of range of measures to improve worker's rights in this country, which would improve wages (which would boost the economy as consumers have more money to spend), and more importantly would improve the quality of live for tens of thousands of Dolgaristani workers. The first three measures would improve worker's rights in this country, which would improve wages (which would boost the economy as consumers have more money to spend), and more importantly would improve the quality of live for tens of thousands of Dolgaristani workers. The fourth measure would fundamentally change power dynamics in this country towards real democracy and equality. They would institute a great deal of change, to be sure, but it would ensure that every single person who lives in Dolgaristan has the right to make their voice heard- politically, economically, and socially. The history of Terra tells us that the only way to bring about real, long lasting change in the economic well-being and independence of historically marginalized groups- to bring about true and long-lasting equality- is to enforce it through hiring practices. This would make every Dolgaristani more free to live the lives that they want for themselves, without any fear of oppression. We would be willing to remove certain measures if the Liberty Party would vote against this bill because of them. |

Random fact: "Game mechanics comes first." For example, if a currently-enforced bill sets out one law, then a player cannot claim the government has set out a contradictory law. |
