Bill: Single Equality Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Baltusia Parliamentary Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: July 4224

Description[?]:

The BPP recognises that human rights are inherent and universal. They are an essential part of modern politics and protect the individual, from any background, from injustices. Similarly, they provide sensible limits on governments and allow governments to plan in advance for these limitations.

As such, the BPP believes equality legislation, in particular the monitoring of outcomes, should properly reflect and respect the diversity of identities. We believe that there should be the same standard of equality provisions throughout Baltusia, we advocate the creation of a Single Equality Act.

This Act would harmonise existing equality and anti-discrimination measures and update and strengthen equality provisions. As such, it would revise fair employment monitoring to better reflect the diversity of mixed identities within Baltusia.
