Bill: Withdrawal from the League of Terran Nations

Details

Submitted by[?]: National Revolutionary Council

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill proposes the withdrawal from a treaty. It will require half of the legislature to vote in favor[?]. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: February 4226

Description[?]:

To the Assembly,

The June Movement demands we withdraw from the chains of the The League of Terran Nations (LTN). Through the past decade, we have seen less of enforcement from the treaty when it came to social and economic rights. It has enforced nations to not enact a nationalist trade policy, as it restricts the ability to do so in a consensual manner. According to Article 4 Provision A of the Member State and Specific Obligations, it states "The member states agree to impose no protectionist measures against other member states." The party believes that the nation has the right to impose quotas on trade, whether or not it is wrong or right, to protect it's national business.
