| In order to increase clarity and promote its usage by international businesses, the government is seeking to introduce a clearer set of tolls for the Aldegar canal. As a result, this bill overrides any previous legislation relating to tolls for the canal. Mustafa Edibam Leader of the Aldegarian National Party 1:- Tolls shall be decided based on vessel type, size, and the type of cargo in addition to the consideration of the 'special provisions'. 2:- All vessels will 100 ACR as a basic charge for use of the canal. 3:- Cargo ship's will have their toll based on the quantity of cargo being carried. 3.1:- A standard rate of 20 ACR per TEU (twenty-foot equivalent unit) will apply. 3.2:- A higher rate of 30 ACR per TEU will apply to any vessel carrying weapons, hazardous materials or livestock. 4:- Passenger/cruise ships will have their toll based on the number of passengers they can accommodate. 4.1:- A 'unoccupied' rate of 25 ACR per bed will apply. 4.2:- An 'occupied' rate of 35 ACR per bed will apply. 5:- Special provisions shall apply to specifically defined vessels. 5.1:- Any ship which is eligible for the special provision shall have their toll reduced by two-thirds. 5.2:- Application of the special provision requires the consent of the Minister for Infrastructure and Transport. 5.3:- Any vessel built in Aldegar or operated by an Aldegarian firm is entitled to the special provision. 6:- This is a normal law and may be passed, altered and repealed by a simple majority. |
