Bill: Restoring the Talmorian Empire
Details

Voting deadline: November 4276
Description[?]:
My government intends to restore the 4106 Empire, the period when Talmoria reached the height of its global power and influence. The Empire spanned three continents, boasted a widely feared military and an imposing and wealthy economy. Talmoria's role as head of the Empire enabled Talmoria to gain and keep a seat on the World Congress Security Council, where it protected its self-interests and the interests of its diplomatic partners and the Esinsundu World. The Talmorian people are fiercely opposed to hereditary monarchy, as we saw in the bloody defeats of the Hulstrian monarchies in the past. The Asli Kings were more welcomed because they were not strictly hereditary -- their system of succession had some democratic elements to it. My government will do away with the whole thing. The current inheritor of the Imperial Crown is Saksoure VIII, the Pharaoh of Hawu Mumenhes. My government intends to travel to Hawu Mumenhes and Cobura, our closest and strongest foreign partners, and ask them to elevate Pharaoh Saksoure VIII to the title of Emperor. Talmoria will become a member of that Empire but we will not have a local monarchy or nobility -- we will remained fully democratic with the small, non-intrusive government Talmorian's expect and demand. Pharaoh Saksoure will be allowed to call himself King of Talmoria, but he will have no power, status, or role in our country or government -- he and his successors will have that title simply to provide a link between the other Imperial nations with Talmoria. Our country will be governed by an elected Governor General and a Prime minister. The Prime Minister's title and all government titles will return to their historical versions: Farin, Farin, and so on. Finally, the official name of the country will be changed to Esinsundu Empire, Talmoria. SIGNED, Prime Minister Madou Koité, March 4276 |
