The government of the Commonwealth has a responsibility to the people to maintain the fiscal well-being of the Peoples elected government. This government passed tax cuts that it has yet to completely pay for despite making initial progress, it would be irresponsible for this government to pass the buck on this to the incoming government after the elections, I implore all our coalition partners to stand with us and vote responsibly for fiscal health by approving this 3% increase in the National Sales Tax. This small tax increase equates out to 13 cents on the Ruta but that small amount would provide much needed Revenue to the Federal coffers without taking the income of working Rutanians. --Prime Minister Royce Blood |
