Details
Submitted by[?]: Whig Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: October 4290
Description[?]:
Monopolies are inherently bad in areas of the economy where they could threaten to exercise a malignant influence over the population such as Electric suppliers, fuel supplier or another industry that is vital to the lives of so many but to forbid a monopoly in any industry to an extent discourages a strong work ethic and a desire for success. If for example Rutania were to be dominated by one light bulb manufacturer due to their business prowess over years in business should we really break up their company? We believe so long as other businesses have the opportunity to compete then their are sectors that could be legally opened to 'monopolies' Sub-section I The following sectors shall remain government regulated as to prevent the development of a monopoly: Food Production/Distribution Fuel Production/Distribution Shipping Arms Production |

Random fact: Cabinet ministers who disagree seriously with the head of government would usually be expected to resign. Parties within the cabinet may attempt to manoeuvre to replace the head of government though, for example by proposing a new cabinet bill or voting for an early election. |
