| The Whig Party propose to adjust the government's spending budget to better address the economic and social situation of the Commonwealth of Rutania Following the changes laid out in the General Reform Act of 4305, the Minimum Income repeal, Moral Obligations Act, and the Ratification of the Northern Council treaty we propose the following changes to the Federal Budget As a member-state in the Northern Council the Commonwealth has a fiscal obligation to contribute to the funding of the alliance. http://classic.particracy.net/viewtreaty.php?treatyid=3378 Article III, Section 3 of the treaty stipulates that Rutania contribute a minimum of twenty-five million Lodamese dollars ($25m) every two years and must contribute in times of emergency when agreed by the General Council. Using the conversion rates of the Lodamese Central Bank 25 million equates to 26,321,330.81 Rutas. This amount when divided by two to determine annual spending comes down to 13,160,665.40 Rutas annually |
