Description[?]:
The Whig Party propose to adjust the government's income tax policy to better address the economic situation of the Commonwealth of Rutania. This tax bill proposes lowering minimum taxable income to 3,500 Rutas annually. The Whig Party has historically stood against raising income taxes and that is why the tax exemption for all those currently earning less than 4000 exist, but the events of 4311 have left us in a different world. If we are to keep this nation safe then we must provide for our security while at the same time we must be fiscally responsible. We have run a deficit of a little over 8 billion Ruta's a year since 4311, this cannot continue. Prime Minister Winston Vernon |
