Bill: The Right to Vote - 4330
Details
Submitted by[?]: Socialisma Respublika Partio
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: May 4331
Description[?]:
A proposal to change the current law to allow prisoners to vote immediately after being released from prison. Whilst we agree that certain liberties should be withheld while prison sentences are served, we do not see why voting should be withheld once someone has served their time. Allowing released citizens to vote immediately surely helps them to feel part of society and not completely disenfranchised and will help with the process of re-integrating them into society once their sentence is up. Zlatan Temelkido Chief Minister of Zardugal |
