Bill: Identity Card Repeal Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Parti de Kanjor et La Tondelle
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: January 4343
Description[?]:
The current scheme is intrusive and expensive. There is no evidence to suggest that they are effective in combating crime. Countries which have ID cards do not have lower rates of crime nor do those which introduce ID cards see a reduction in crime rates. ID cards have no effect on identity fraud, which occurs mostly online, and do not uncover the intent of terrorists or those with terrorist designs. We propose to reuse this money to help resettle refugees who have fled to Royaume de Kanjor and to increase our Foreign Aid budget. Marielle Castaner Minister for Foreign Affairs |

Random fact: Players consent to the reasonable and predictable consequences of the role-play they consent to. For example, players who role-play their characters as committing criminal offences should expect those characters to experience the predictable judicial consequences of that. |
