Bill: Ending Religious Discrimination

Details

Submitted by[?]: Nrljogadé Prta

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill proposes the withdrawal from a treaty. It will require half of the legislature to vote in favor[?]. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: October 4355

Description[?]:

The policy of the Federal Republic has since its founding been designed to limit the influence of religious institutions and avoid the persecutions and discrimination that have characterized previous regimes. However by doing so our religious legislation unfairly targets innocent and peaceful believers as much as it affects violent extremists, and in so doing merely validates the Apostolic Army's rhetoric. For these reasons the Enlightenment Party shall move to end the discrimination against believers, and recognize the legitimate interests of the faithful in Barmenistan.

Random fact: The people in your nation don't like inactive parties. When you often abstain from voting for a bill, they will dislike your party and your visibility to the electorate will decrease significantly. Low visibility will means you are likely to lose seats. So keep in mind: voting Yes or No is always better than Abstaining.

Random quote: "Changing the way we measure things is vital. So is decompartmentalising society making sure that economics and politics are not divorced from other crucial areas of life." - David Attenborough
