The government proposes that deputy George Rommel is appointed President of the State Council. Mr Rommel has been a member of the State Council since 4357, he promises to "accept changing times but not forget tradition" if appointed. He wishes to create the position of vice-President of the State Council if elected, to be held by a party other than the main government party. He is attempting to garner cross party support for his bid. He has so far received endorsements from the Minister for Foreign Affairs and the Minister for Defence. |
