| Simone Calenda, Minister of Trade and Industry: "Honorable MPs, the Government present this bill for the re-establishment of a public postal service with the creation of a didicated postal services provider in the form of a joint-stock company. The company will offer not only postal services, but also integrated products, such as postal savings, communication, logistics and financial services. The company will be controlled by the Minister of Finance and by a new institution which personally I will present you in the following months, namely an investment bank also controlled by the Minister of Finance and which will use for its activities precisely the postal saving. The Postal company will be quoted on the stock exchange of Milona and almost 40% of the shares will be offered to the public: 70% to Institutional investor (banks, insurance companies, pensions, hedge funds, REITs, investment advisors, endowments, mutual funds, etc...), while 30% will be reserved for the indistinct public and for employees residing in Istalia. The company will be required to provide the so-called "universal service", ie it must provide some essential services for the delivery of letters and parcels at a controlled price. The services of the Postal provider: * Postal products: - Letters: ordinary mail service, priority mail service, Registered mail, Insured mail and Bulk mail; - Packages: national delivery, priority delivery, Bulk packages delivery, International delivery, Corporation delivery - Telematic Products: Telegram, Fax, Registered Online letter, On line postal service - Philately: Postage stamps in general * Banking Products: - Current account and Cards - Investments - Savings products - Loans - Funds transfer - Insurance products The public Postal provider will manage also the distribution of civil and military correspondence to and from the Istalian Army contingents located in the various theaters operating abroad. The name of the provider will be: "Poste Nazionali Istaliane S.p.A."/"Istalian National Postal Service S.p.A."
