| The law that explicitly states that all individuals must serve a term in the military is cruel and extreme. Imagine a young man who wants no part in bloodshed overseas, who feels sick to his stomach everytime he thinks about the quickly approaching deadline for mandatory service. Sure, the law in place bolsters our military might, but we are sending away the young adults of our country, who are one day expected to raise children and live happy lives. If we continue upon this path, countless young lives will be lost in the workforce and homes around our country. Therefore: I. All adults upon completion of schooling must serve a term of civilian national service. |
