JUSTIZREFORM OF 4393

ARTICLE I: The government of Dundorf shall establish the Volksgericht (People's Court) to serve as the highest court in the land, and all courts will respect its decisions.

ARTICLE II: Nine (9) Volksrichter (People's Justices) will serve on this court, and will elect from among themselves an Oberster Richter (Chief Justice) who will preside over the court. All justices will serve until their death or until they resign. They must reach a 5-4 verdict for a majority. All of these justices will be appointed by the Vorsitzender des Staatrates.

ARTICLE III: The government of Dundorf will establish five (5) Bezirksgerichte (District Courts), one for each DDR Bezirke, to preside over cases within their district.

ARTICLE IV: These courts will be presided over by five (5) different Bezirksanwälte (District Attorneys).

ARTICLE V: The government of Dundorf shall establish appellate courts in each DDR Bezirke. If someone is convicted they may appeal first to these courts. If they do not like this decision, they may appeal to the district courts. They may finally appeal to the People's Court.

ARTICLE VI: This bill will need a 2/3 majority to pass, and to amend in the future.
