| This bill, in all its sections, comes with the mindset of creating a safety net for unemployed workers, as well as giving subsidies to retired elderly citizens. The bill also outlines which organ of the government would be responsible for overseeing job reintegration for the unemployed, and sets out penalties for those who wish to commit Social Security fraud. Our party leaves this bill on the floor for debate by the other parties. Article I— Elderly citizens past the retirement age of whom have worked a considerable amount of their lives are entitled to a government subsidy. This also applies to elderly who are of low income status. Article II— An employee is entitled to insurance from unemployment, by way of a card with their name issued on it, along with a special code. Therefore, if unemployment does occur, the employee can present their card to an official of the Ministry of Health and Social Services, who will attempt to assign them an adequate job based on their previous salary. Article III— As expressed above, the Ministry of Health and Social Services will be tasked with oversight of job reintegration to unemployed workers. Article IV— Penalties will be applied if a citizen is caught attempting to commit Social Security fraud. The minimum sentence will be 6 months in a penitentiary for first offenders, and then gradually increased for repeat offenders. The length of a sentence can be debated by the Sejm, or the General Peosecutor’s Office. |
