Bill: Promotion through Commission Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Kadima Beiteynu
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: November 4409
Description[?]:
Currently, soldiers are promoted by bureaucrats in the ministry of defence. While the ministry has our utmost respect, we believe that a more hands-on, watching-the-battlefield, merit-based structure for promotions would lead to greater efficiency. The creation of a separate battlefield commision would be solely occupied with keeping an eye on how soldiers perform on the battlefield and in training exercises, and look for who to promote based entirely on performance with set metrics and standards. This would also alleviate some of the responsibilities of the Ministry of Defense, allowing to focus on its other duties, such as planning national defences, and regulating equipment. We also believe that experts whose sole job it is to seek out good officers would possibly do a better job. |

Random fact: Party candidates for head of state elections are not visible to the public. This means that you cannot see who will run and who will not, which adds another strategic element to the elections. |
