Bill: Cut Assembly Seats
Details
Submitted by[?]: National Conservative Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: December 4419
Description[?]:
The N.C.P wishes to propose a change to the number of seats in the T.G (Assembly). A smaller number of seats gives a larger chance for parties to form a government. At present, coalition parties are most common and this is leading to hung parliaments and cabinets made up of 2+ parties. If a party gets half of the number of total seats plus one extra then they should be the only party in government. |
