Bill: Women's Reproductive Rights Act II
Details

Status[?]: passed

Voting deadline: May 4426
Description[?]:
The Unión Demócrata Republicana Confederal opposes those attacks against Egelion's women basic civil rights and low-income families. Again, a bunch of retrograde men wants to impose their patriarchal vision of sexual relationships to women. Supporters of these laws believe that outlawing certain abortion practices should reduce the number of abortion procedures carried out every year, a goal that we can support because abortions should be avoided as much as possible. Sadly, research from around the globe is sobering: Restrictive laws do not reduce abortion rates. Instead, they are linked to unsafe abortions, which put women at risk of serious health problems and even death. Instead of this misguided policy, we encourage all the other parties to support a Comprehensive Sexual Health and HIV/AIDS Prevention Education Act where all sex education programs had to be medically accurate, age-appropriate and comprehensive. Many cases around the globe prove that those policies help to reduce teen pregnancy rate, the first cause of abortions, by more than 50 percent. When teens have access to the free birth control of their choice, abortion rates plummet. |
