Beluzian Intelligence Act

Article i - Purpose

i) This act formally undertakes to enact, amend and reorganize, as necessary, Beluzian Intelligence Services. It is
responsible for the collection, analysis, and exploitation of information in support of law enforcement, national
security, military, and foreign policy objectives.


Article ii - Official Title

i) The Beluzian Intelligence Service (BIS)


Article iii - Organisational Purpose

i) The Beluzian Intelligence Service is the primary domestic and foreign intelligence agency of the Republic of Beluzia.


Article iv - Reporting and Oversight

i) The Beluzian Intelligence Service:
i-a) reports directly to the Prime Minister's Office.
i-b) coordinates with the following senior ministries:
i-b-i) Foreign Affairs, Defence, Interior.
i-c) shares information with all other ministries and governmental authorities
ii) Congress shall have oversight of the Beluzian Intelligence service regarding:
ii-a) Budget
ii-b) Operational constraints with regards to the laws of the Republic of Beluzia

Article v - Key Staff

i) A Chief Director shall be appointed to head the organization:
ii) The full title of this position shall be: Chief Director of the Beluzian Intelligence Service
iii) The position of Chief Director shall:
iii-a) oversee overall operations of the Organisation.
iii-b) be nominated by the Prime Minister.
iii-c) be subject to removal by the Prime Minister.

Article vi - Membership and Recruiting

i) Membership of the Beluzian Intelligence Service is open to all;
ii) Recruits will need to complete an intensive 20 week course. This course involves;
ii-a) police procedures, firearms, physical fitness, psychology, police-community relations, criminal law, first aid,
laws of arrest, search and seizure, physical defense techniques, diplomatic immunity, international treaties and
protocol. On-the-job training and advanced in-service training programs complement classroom studies.
ii-b) combating counterfeiting, access device fraud and other financial criminal activity, protective intelligence
investigations, physical protection techniques, protective advances and emergency medicine, marksmanship,
control tactics, water survival skills and physical fitness.


Article vii - Confirmation

i) Position of Chief Director is subject to Congressional confirmation.
i-a) A majority of Congress is required to achieve confirmation.


Article viii - Oath of Office

i) All members of the Beluzian Intelligence Service are subject to the articles confirmed in the Oath of Office Act.


Article ix - Security Clearance

i) Security Clearances are issued in grades with respect to rank of Intelligence Service member.
ii) A non-transferable high level security clearance will issued to the Chief Director upon nomination allowing:
ii-a) access to highly sensitive information.
iii) Upon removal, retirement, incapacity or resignation the Security Clearance of any Intelligence member will be revoked immediately.


Article x - Accordance

i) Beluzian Intelligence Service is subject to the laws of Beluzia as established by Congress specifically relating to:
i-a) Nation's policy with regards to an intelligence agency.
