Voting deadline: February 4551
Description[?]:
As the custodians of our world we are morally obligated to ensure it is kept clean and sustainable The current stance on the hunting of endangered animals is that only those with a licence may legally do so, however, we believe that this is not doing enough to protect our environment for future generations and simply acts as a way to make money through the purchasing of licences rather than protecting the endangered species themselves. We propose that the hunting of endangered species be entirely illegal, anyone caught hunting an endangered species will be subject to prosecution on the basis of environmental damage. A fine will also be levied which will be used to help fund local programs of ecological protection and sanctuaries, the rest of the funding will come from donations from citizens and funds towards environmental protection. We also believe that endangered animals are best left in the wild, however, zoos and other institutes suitable for the handling, rearing and protection of endangered species may keep them, so long as their purpose is for protection and educational purposes, the sale or handling of endangered species, dead or alive, is to be prohibited in law, those violating this law will be subject to criminal prosecution, a fine and possible jail terms. We believe that it is our moral duty to protect the world in which we live, failure to do so would be a catastrophic failure of our humanity. We urge the senate to vote in agreement so that we may protect the endangered species within our nation to the best of our abilities. |
