With this bill the National Congress, aimed to protect our State, our Institutions, our Democracy and our Society, find opportune to introduce measures for the prevention of the participation of dangerous candidates to the National Congress elections. A candidates' list shall not participate in elections to the National Congress, and a person shall not be a candidate for election to the National Congress, if the objects or actions of the list or the actions of the person, expressly or by implication, include one of the following: Anti-democratic ideologies; acts or proposal aimed to undermine the democratic institutions; incitement to criminalized form of discrimination; terrorism; support of armed struggle, by a hostile state or a terrorist organization, against Istalia. The decision of the Central Elections Committee that a candidate is prevented from participating in the elections requires the affirmation of the Constitutional Court of Istalia. |
