Bill: Blasphemy Laws
Details
Submitted by[?]: Baltusia Parliamentary Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: April 4586
Description[?]:
The Baltusia Parliamentary Party seeks to update Baltusia's archaic blasphemy law and take a small step towards creating a 46th century constitution. Such a change, removing the term from the state’s official statement of values, would mark a sign of Baltusia’s social liberalisation from a conservative society to an increasingly secular one, in line with the will of the people. The way the present law is framed makes it difficult to sustain a prosecution, costing the judicial system needless time and financial strain. The BPP proposes a change for the future.
