Bill: National Minimum Wage Realignment Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Ducal Delegation
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: February 2208
Description[?]:
Aldegar's legal minimum wage is far too high and is creating unemployment. These days, there are very few families with four or more children, and most families have two bread-winners. To arrange the minimum wage on the basis that a worker should earn enough money to provide for his or her spouse and four children is to set it at such a high rate as to cripple our economy. Aldegar has already had child benefit introduced in recent years, so families with children have the support they need already. The existing miniumum wage law is outdated and destructive.
