Members of the Assembly, It is time to end with the demonization of the GM products. For centuries, our civilization has been consuming genetically modified foods without showing any harm to health or the environment. Tomatoes, corn or bananas themselves are genetically modified foods, only that they were made millennia ago with non-scientific techniques, but they still enter within the definition itself. The GM food is nothing more than a food to which, by means of some controlled technique, it is induced some characteristics that are beneficial, either to better resist the climate, or to enhance a characteristic such as taste ...
