Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: November 4617
Description[?]:
The Minister for Food and Agriculture Anne NĂ¼rner proposes to create a government agency to check food. It shall check restaurants, farms, factories and everywhere where food is processed, stored, sold or eaten commercially. Regardless if public or private. The agency is divided into state and regional subdivisions that are responsible to check everything mentioned above in their region. The agency is marking the places from 1 to 6. The worse mark it gets, the more often the agency checks on that place. If a place gets the mark 6 it's required to either close for good or to clean up under supervision of the agency. 6 means germ contaminated. The responsible person/people will also have to pay a heavy fine and if a persistent offender jail time. The restaurants are required to show at least the marks of the last two years publicly and easily readable. The agency also maintains an internet website for customers to check places. It's implemented in other countries and has received good results. OOC: this may sound unrealistic and possibly stupid, but it isn't. It's implemented in Norway and has good results so it's a realistic policy discussion. |
