Bill: FS-14: Luxury Goods Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Voorwaartse Seridjan

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: January 4645

Description[?]:

Luxury goods are defined as goods without utility value (fulfilling human needs) and instead focuses on status symbols, such as (but not limited to) luxury homes, boats, vehicles, jewelry, and designer clothes.

In accordance with our party's reforms to a flat tax rate of 35% (with income below 12,000 SAD exempt), we propose increasing luxury taxes to 35% from 30%, to ensure a balanced budget and tax rate consistency across the board.

Once this act is based, Saridan will have a corporate tax, income, and luxury goods tax rate of 35%.

Random fact: Characters are considered to be "owned" by the player who first mentioned or created them. In practice, players may share responsibility for role-playing a character, but ultimate authority rests with the owner.
