| Comrades in the National Assembly WHEREAS: We read in the Dorvish Newspaper, and Kalistani Fishermen report sighting, Dorvish Offensive Warships sailing unimpeded through Kalistani Waters, specifically the Ananto Strait between Ananto and our Mainland. (http://forum.particracy.net/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=92&p=152384#p152384), and WHEREAS: We are not aware of any negotiations between the Dorvish Government and the Kalistani Government, nor do we believe there ever was any, and WHEREAS: We believe this to be a dread violation of Kalistani Sovereignty, which has, for the last month, not been answered by our Government in any fashion, and WHEREAS: To our understanding, the Quarantine of the Ananto Strait against foreign warships was never officially lifted, and has existed status quo for more than 150 years, and WHEREAS: The Ananto Strait is a VITAL shipping lane for Kalistani and Anantonese commerce between the Mainland and Ananto, and WHEREAS: The National Defense Posture of Kalistan is to not allow violations of the Quarantine, under any circumstance, and WHEREAS: The National Government's abolition of the Militias without the corresponding standing up and deployment of a Naval Force capable of adequately defending Kalistani National Territory has allowed this violation of our National Sovereignty, therefore BE IT RESOLVED IN NATIONAL ASSEMBLY THAT THIS VIOLATION WILL BE MET WITH THE STRONGEST OFFICIAL CONDEMNATION, OFFICIAL PROTEST SHALL BE LODGED WITH THE GOVERNMENT OF DORVIK FOR THEIR FLAGRANT DISREGARD OF THE NATIONAL SOVEREIGNTY OF KALISTAN, AND SANCTIONS WILL BE LEVELED UNTIL AGREEMENT CAN BE REACHED CONCERNING ADEQUATE ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF KALISTANI SOVEREIGNTY BY THE GOVERNMENT OF DORVIK. This bellicose action must not be allowed to stand unchallenged, or we may as well open our nation up to occupation by foreign imperialists. The Socialist Party will not tolerate this, and if the Conservatives refuse to act, the Socialists will following election. For now, we call on ALL PARTIES to endorse this resolution, and for its terms to be enacted by the acting President of the Republic. |
