Bill: Bill C-55: Election Cycles Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Hutori Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: September 4692
Description[?]:
This act shall reinstate 4 year election cycles rather than the 3 year cycles we currently use. OOC: when we have to build coalitions, 3 years is just not enough time to get the stuff you want to do done, because it can take a year or more to agree on a cabinet, then you've got to make sure you've got the support of your coalition for the legislation you want to pass. I think this was much easier when we were doing elections every 4 years. |
