Description[?]:
Mr Speaker, the previous leftist Government carried out their green plan for the country aimed to make Istalia a 0 emission country. But what these governments hoped was an utopia on the side of energy sector. They hoped to turn all the energy production on the renovable sources but actually the dismisal of many nuclear plants in the past increased the creation of gas-fueled plants too alongside renovable sources, this because today it's actually unrealistic to see only alternative sources to be used to give energy to a country like Istalia (OOC: see german example for a IRL reference). The nuclear energy ban was indeed an error and an ideological choice. Istalia for centuries has been among the top countries about nuclear technology and we already perfected new generation reactors which drastically downed the production of nuclear waste (http://forum.particracy.net/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=4118&p=127512&hilit=Torium#p127512). And we can say you that we are able to manage such waste better than the pollutant emissions. For these reason, to really proceed to the dismisal of the no-renouvable resources-fueled plants, we believe that the Country should not only permit but also promote the construction of new nuclear power plants based on the most advanced technology on the field. Furthermore, if this proposal is accepted, the Government will take charge to identify a National Storage Site where to stock the exausted nuclear materials and nuclear waste. Thank you. - Sarae Nawab, ANI |

Random fact: When it comes to creating a Cultural Protocol in a Culturally Open nation, players are not necessarily required to provide a plausible backstory for how the nation's cultural background developed. However, the provision of a plausible backstory may be a factor in whether Moderation approves the Cultural Protocol if players in surrounding nations question its appropriateness for their region of the game map. |
