| The 600 seats of the Revolutionary People Power Assembly were arranged in a hemicycle in a grand hall with a domed roof. The Government Complex had be renovated and transformed in the 26 years since the revolution. The delegates started by clapping in unison with some chanting "Long live the Revolution! Long live the Revolution!" The 67 yearold Radu Nishani stepped up to the microphone on the central podium, the government cabinet sitting in seats directly behind the Supreme Representative "Greetings comrades on the occasion of the 26th anniversary of the 4671 revolution that brought the Barmenistani Communist Workers Party to power in the country. Let us all take the time to reflect on the last 26 years, have we done good by the people? Is the country in a better position now then when we found it? I can say with confidence yes to both of those questions. The people of Barmenistan enjoy a high level of personal freedom within a socialist framework that provides for all people and has an economic system that ensure equality and liberation for all..." Applause spread throughout the chamber......... The session continued for another 4 hours as various leaders and prominent figures in society gave speeches and their perspectives and reflections on 26 years of the revolutionary government. |
