Description[?]:
Mr. Speaker, The Government hereby proposes, for the Folketing's consideration, a reform of the present pension system. We are guided in this endeavour by two chief ambitions; firstly, to secure a decent retirement income for all without excessive social security contributions, and secondly, to expand individual choice. The former necessitates a rise in the retirement age as the population, on average, grows older, while the second demands that legal restrictions on private savings be lifted.
