| The Alliance recognises that, across Terra, there are few nations which accept polygamy as being legitimate. Mordusia is under no obligation to follow global trends, but we believe this particular "norm" is one we should emulate. The proposal does not go so far as to prosecute any polygamous relationships - though this might want to be considered by any future government. It does, however, send out a stronger message than the current "no policy" legislation does. It also ensures that any rights afforded to married couples or for those in a civil marriage do not apply to any that indulge in polygamy. |
