Bill: Further Education Tuition Fees Bill 4744
Details
Submitted by[?]: Alliance Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: April 4745
Description[?]:
This is the last piece of legislation which the Alliance is bringing before Parliament before the next election. It is our gift to our youth and hope that the legislation being proposed herein will not be reversed by future governments, so that the further education of our youth is not a political ball-game nor subject to the varying opinions of the future Ministers of Finance. Our gift is - that we will subsidise all further education tuition fees - with immediate effect. The Minister for Finance will increase the budget for Education when this Bill becomes law. In the mean-time - for the forthcoming educational year, the Alliance is pleased to utilise the surplus funds which built up due to the CNP party's tax increases but which were not revised for some time by the Alliance. |

Random fact: By default the head of government is the ultimate authority within a national government. In general terms, heads of government are expected to consult with cabinet colleagues (including those from other parties) before making significant decisions but they remain responsible for government action. |
