Bill: Communication Act of 4751

Details

Submitted by[?]: Erovnuli Eertianobis Partia

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: March 4753

Description[?]:

The time has come for the heritage of our nation to be liberated and made a national priority. With this act, we declare the running of libraries to be the responsibility of the national government to ease the exchange of our national treasures from locality to locality and improve the quality of service to The People. Television and radio stations will be held to a high ethical standard, based not on profit, but on creating quality content and delivering it to The People. In the spirit of liberation of the body and of the mind, the entire human experience will be opened up for anyone to enjoy whether on their television or in a movie theater at whatever time of day they want. In the spirit of the unity of our Empire of Empires, children will be asked to show respect when the national anthem is played at the commencement of educational activities. All software source code will be required to be opened up to The People so that they may better understand the fundamental building blocks of modern life. We will also, in a less aspirational move, be allowing courts to force individuals to release data when it is of a sufficient need. But, private post offices will be deregulated!
