Bill: Small Business Bill 4752
Details
Submitted by[?]: Alliance Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: August 4753
Description[?]:
While it is desirable for all employees to have social security contributions made on their behalf by their employers, this is highly restrictive upon small businesses. If they are unable to thrive this not only affects their business interests, but also their contribution to the nation's economic well-being and jeopardises jobs. We believe that employees would prefer to have more job security than to have mandatory contributions damage their job prospects which would mean they have no contributions at all. |
