Below is a proposed cultural protocol update for Talmoria.

---

In accordance with section 7 of the Game Rules (http://forum.particracy.net/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=8088&p=145763#p145764), Talmoria is a "culturally protected" nation. Below is the cultural protocol which all players in the nation must abide. Throughout the document, the real-life equivalent is shown in brackets next to the in-game name.

--OVERVIEW--

Talmoria is a somewhat ethnically heterogeneous country. The primary cultural group in Talmoria are the Asli (West African) peoples, a broad collection of various ethnic groups with diverse cultural and linguistic traditions. Within this grouping, there are an array of more specific ethnic and linguistic groups. Among the most notable are the Mbowema (Akan) people, the Orun (Yoruba) people, the Keobi (Igbo) people and the Agusa (Fon) people.

In terms of religion, the majority of the population adheres to Ahmadism (Islam), a legacy of the Asli Sultanate that ruled the region for a significant period of its history. The practice of Ahmadism varies between regions and frequently involves a degree of syncretism with indigenous Asli religious beliefs (traditional West African religions). The same is true of the Hosian (Christian) population.

--LANGUAGE--

Talmoria is a linguistically diverse country. In practical terms, it is common for individuals to speak a "home language" among family as well as a "business language" for communication with people outside of their town or village. Among the most commonly spoken languages are the Mbowema (Akan) language, the Orun (Yoruba) language, the Keobi (Igbo) language, the Agusa (Fon) language and the Fotu (Kwa) languages. Constitutional variables and political party names may be in any of these languages or a combination of them.

Random fact: In Culturally Protected nations, special care must be taken to ensure realism is maintained when role-playing a government controlled by an ethnic and/or religious minority. If it is to be supposed that this government is supported by a majority of the population, then this should be plausibly and sufficiently role-played. The burden of proof is on the player or players role-playing such a regime to demonstrate that it is being done realistically
