EXECUTIVE DIRECTIVE SUMMARY President Baba Takara issued this Executive Directive in 4820 in response to the practice of slavery in Pontesi. EXECUTIVE DIRECTIVE: Whereas it is the duty of the President of Seko under Article 64 of the Constitution of Seko to direct the foreign policy of the state, and; Whereas the Republic of Pontesi allows for the practice of slavery and the ongoing capitalist sale of human beings as property in a marketplace, and; Whereas Article 13(e) of the Constitution of Seko affirms that "No person shall be submitted to servitude, slavery or forced labour. The trade and trafficking of persons is prohibited forever," and recognizing that "a stable republic which exists to broadly benefit humanity" (http://forum.particracy.net/viewtopic.php?p=155507#p155507), cannot ignore nor accept the practice of slavery, and; Whereas the Republic of Pontesi is, in the words of President Yeranos Andonian, attempting to become a "world leading trade hub" (http://forum.particracy.net/viewtopic.php?p=164746#p164746) based upon its slave economy, the expansion of militarism (http://forum.particracy.net/viewtopic.php?p=164821#p164821) and the state oppression of political dissidents (http://forum.particracy.net/viewtopic.php?p=164795#p164795), and; Whereas an economic and social order predicated on slavery, militarism, and oppression is antithetical to the values of the people of Seko as expressed through the Constitution of Seko, Be it resolved that the Executive Branch of Seko, as represented Constitutionally by the President of Seko, issues the following Directive to be adopted as law effective immediately: (1) Seko denounces, in the strongest terms, all forms of slavery and human trafficking. (2) Seko recognizes that slavery is an evil system which cannot be reformed, it can only be abolished. (3) Seko denounces, in the strongest terms, the practice of slavery as it exists in Pontesi, and: โ โ (a) Condemns President Yeranos Andonian, Prime Minister Eshkhan Girogosian and all other representatives, members and collaborators of the Government of Pontesi as criminals of the highest magnitude, guilty of operating an evil system which is based upon the denial of the inherent dignity of human beings and the human soul, and; โ โ (b) Rejects all forms of collaboration with the criminal Government of Pontesi, and shall make no compromise with regard to the evil of slavery. (3) In order to work proactively to bring about an end to slavery in Pontesi, Seko shall: โ โ (a) Break off any diplomatic and economic relations with the Government of Pontesi, and; โ โ (b) Boycott all goods originating from Pontesi, and terminate any and all export of goods to Pontesi, with financial compensation for domestic producers negatively impacted by such an action provided by the State, and; โ โ (c) Prohibit all other forms of economic interaction between Seko and Pontesi, and; โ โ (d) Increase humanitarian support to the victims and opponents of slavery and the slave trade in Pontesi, accepting any and all refugees facing that system, or political oppression under the Andonian-Girogosian regime, and; โ โ (d) Endeavour to ensure that other nations and international bodies adopt similar measures, and increase the pressure on the regime in Pontesi to end its evil and barbaric practice of slavery.
