Bill: Income tax proposal of July 5063
Details
Submitted by[?]: Aontacht Náisiúnta
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This bill proposes to change income taxes. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.
Voting deadline: March 5064
Description[?]:
As recent reforms to the public sector means that access to a number of benefits and services has been reduced or eliminated for middle-income and upper-income earners, it is appropriate that taxation be reduced for these groups to maintain an equitable balance in policy. To this end, it is proposed that the basic exemption will again rise, while the top rate will be cut from 40% to 35%. |

Random fact: Real-life quotations may be used in Particracy, but the real-life speaker or author should always be referenced in an OOC (out-of-character) note alongside the quotation. |
Random quote: "The first step in freeing yourself from social restrictions is the realization that there is no such thing as a 'safe' code of conduct, one that would earn everyone's approval. Your actions can always be condemned by someone, for being too bold or too apathetic, for being too conformist or too nonconformist, for being too liberal or too conservative. So it's necessary to decide whose approval is important to you." - Harry Browne |
