Bill: Nobility Reform
Details
Submitted by[?]: Front républicain national (FRN)
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: October 5089
Description[?]:
With the usage of noble titles becoming recognized, albeit not granted, we, the FRN, call for reform on the powers noble titles convey in order to make it titular so it essentially becomes another surname. One group of people existing above others simply due to their birth is incongruous to a Republican society. Article 0. The only "minor rights" (as stated in Article 1) to be conferred to the nobility will be the rights to have their titles recognized by L'Assemblée nationale, grant their titles to offspring, preserve and maintain their current estates, and grant their estates to offspring as they would a title. Everything else concerning nobility is in-name-only. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change Privileges of nobility (if nobility is recognised by the government).
Old value:: Nobility confers titles and minor political rights, but no direct control over people or land, and can be hereditary.
Current: Nobility confers titles and minor political rights, but no direct control over people or land, and can be hereditary.
Proposed: Nobility confers only titles and certain minor rights, but no political powers, and can be hereditary.
