Bill: Obscene Acts Prevention Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Likatonian Freedom Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: April 5105
Description[?]:
The removal of penalties for obscene acts in public poses a danger to not only the sensibilities and dignity of the populace, but to the innocence of children. Allowing people to engage in sexual acts in public will effectively destroy any and all semblance of order in this nation. The last thing we need is people having intercourse before the eyes of everyone, whether or not they wish to see it. The government has no business in the bedroom affairs of private citizens, but bringing any action into the public forum removes any such protections. This is not a matter of personal freedom, but one of the societal standards we held dear from the time of our founding, and to until recently. |
