| Mr/Mme Speaker, the Government presents today this increase of the budget in order to carry out the Programmatic Document of Defense of 5113. This new program of modernization of the Armed Forces will provide for the next 20 years: - Program "Claud Interforze per la Difesa": a new ubiquitous, permeating, safe and accessible infrastructure which will give all the compnent of the armed forces the tools they need to analyse and share information in real time, from command centres in the homeland to units on deployment overseas. It enables them to make their digital transformation with the highest levels of security and speed up the decision cycle so they can maintain the operational edge. - Development and purchaise of a new Amphibious Assault Vehicle for the amphibious landing forces of the Navy - Development and purchaise of a new tracked Armored Infantry Combat Vehicles for the Army in version of IFV, Combat Support, Command post and Ambulance-Medevac. - Development and purchaise of 6 new Fully Multi-role Guided-missile Destroyers for the Navy carrying an Universal Vertical Launch System allowing a single launcher to fire a variety of missiles ranging from surface to air, anti-submarine, anti-ship and land attack cruise missiles. The units of this new class of ship shall also be equiped with advanced sensors able to track enemy missiles attacks and system to enable them to perform ballistic missile defense. - Development and purchaise of 10 new Fully Multi-role Guided-Missele Frigates, 5 however with improved anti-air warfare and 5 with improved anti-submarine warfare. - Development and purchaise of 2 new Landing Helicopter Dock (LHD) ship for the Navy - Development and purchaise of a new type of Multi-role/Anti-Submarine Warfare Helicopter (to be embarked on the 2 new LHD of the Navy - Development and purchaise of a new type of Multi-role/Air superiority Fighter Jet for the Air Force in one and two-seat configuration, the latter aimed to electronic warfare, advanced analysis of data from sensors and special networking with heavy assault drones. - Development and purchaise of a type of heavy combat drones able also of inter-operatibility with manned fightin aircraft |
