Bill: The Revised Personal Prosperity Budget and Taxation proposal of August 2234

Details

Submitted by[?]: Pnték Znkak Prta 'Bastardry'

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill proposes to change the allocation of funds in the budget. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: July 2235

Description[?]:

The Bastards propose to adjust the government's spending budget to better address the economic and social situation of the Pontesian Dynastic Commonwealth.

It is identical to previous (http://80.237.164.51/particracy/main/viewbill.php?billid=66428) except the following aspects have been revised:

-The Foreign Affairs and Infrastructure/Transport budgets have been cut slightly. With the infrastructure being privatised, we can afford this cut, and the Foreign Affairs ministry is press conferences and travelling, not exactly some of life's most expensive things. With immigration being covered by Internal Affairs, we feel a cut here is viable (Besides, Gifpi Zachans has a lot of air miles). Both of these are Bastard ministries we can look to make more efficient.

-The Science/Technology budget remains unchanged.

-Trade/Industry and Finance have had their budgets boosted slightly to promote trade and help the Finance ministry ensure that all taxes are accounted for.

We propose a 5,262,082,373 PON tax break in the form of a Luxury tax reduction from 7% to 6%. With this, the economy will grow due to consumers being more incensed to work as more of their money stays with them, and the Surplus for the government still increases by 197,917,627 PON.
