Description[?]:
The controversial remarkes made by Parkers after their election defeat three years ago, led to a wave of protests in favour, but even more often against the Reformers as well as ultimately to their big election defeat in this years election, that put the reformers to the last place and barely over 10% for the first time in history. All this as well as the authoritian ledaership style of the Parkers within the party and their populist policies made a lot of (mostly older) Reform party members furious and unsatisfied with their leadership. To get control of the rising protest wave against them, Jeremy and Lisa Parker have announced to hold a grand party congress with a leadership election in February. A number of candidates have allready declared their leadership canidacy: -Lisa & Jeremy Parker: The relatives of the Party founder and current co-leaders are campaigning for a continuing of their current line, while promising to bring some renewal in the party by strengthening the youth wing and local initiatives. The also plan to make the party more federalistic. -Tony Backer & Hillary Rogers: The 68 year old Tony Backer comes from a conservative lower-middle class family. He joined the former Reform party under the rule of Bill Marley and Marc Parker in 5118 as soon as he turned 18 and was a voluntary supporter for the campaignes of David Kent. If elected his agenda includes the abolished of co-leadership and replacing it with a sole leader and board of advisors. He also wants to work against the inner party corruption and authoritarian systems. He his seen as the biggest fraud for the Parkers and a representative of the Conservative liberal wing of the Party. -Czeslaw Matthew & Susan Blair: The former prime minister and close friend of the parker siblings chose the wife of former trade minister Herbert blair as his co-canidate. Their Campaign goals are mostly similar with them of the Parkers. -Donald Sterling & Maria Paul: Donald Sterling is a well-known right-wing wing tv commentator and Internet blogger. While originally supporting the accusations of the election fraud, he has tried to distance himself fromt he former leadership by stating there were "no proofs either for or against a mass-scale election fraud. His Plattform is mostly concentrated on forgein policy where he calls for a strict anti-immigration and "likatonia first" policy. His co-canidate is Maria Paul a businesswoman and finacial expert that worked as an advisor for multiple regional and even for the last national government. She is known for her strong economic libertarian stances as well as for leaked private chats where she used racial slurs and attacked Ahmadist immigrants. - Jack Marley & Mary Watson : In a move to copy the rise of the Parkers, the Grandson of Bill Marley, Jack Marley has announced his canidacy togehter with his wife Mary Watson. As of now he has refused to state his opinion about the election fraud allegations. In his announcement speech he claimed he want to make the Reform party "more libertarian than the LDP". - Pauline Truss & Tom Johnson: Truss and Johnson are well known within parts of the Reform party for their strong regional engagement in pirland. The two of them have worked together since years and are vocal criticer of the Parker leadership. In many cases their political agenda is similar to them of Tom Backer with whom they work strongly togehter, still differneces are seen in there position towards co-leadership and federalism, with the Truss/Johnson duo being in favour of higher regional powers. In the past Truss was called a social-liberal and centrist. -Alberta Wattson & Dakotah Tadewi: This canidate duo is the only one on the left side of the spectrum. Dakotah is known since years as a native likatonian rights activist, while Wattson first gained public interest as an environmentalist activist. Still the reputation of latter has damged after she began to spread conspiracy theories. |
