| Under this Declaration of Confederate Neutrality, the Confederacy of Narikaton and Darnussia asserts its neutrality (as outlined in below terms) and the signatories of this declaration officially recognize The Cnfederacy as a neutral nation. Terms of the Declaration of The Confederacy of Narikaton and Darnussia's Neutrality: Article 1: The Confederacy shall maintain neutrality in all wars and conflicts and will not aid any belligerent parties either financially or materially. Article 2: The Confederacy is open to diplomacy and friendly dialogue with all nations. The nation is supportive of economic, cultural, and educational treaties with other Terran states. Article 3: The Confederacy, under extreme circumstances, may engage in embargoes and/or sanctions against another nation and reserves the right to close its borders (including, but not limited to, road, sea and air access) to any foreign nation. Extreme circumstances could include such situations as Confederate expatriates or citizens abroad being attacked or unfairly targeted by foreign regimes. Other situations could include the discovery of a foreign regime supporting radicalism or terrorism within Confederate borders. Article 4: The Confederacy shall reserve the right to maintain a military for the sake of national defense. Article 5: The Confederacy will reserve the right to use military force only to defend itself and renounces the right to use its armed forces for conquest, and shall not aid other nations in conquests of third parties. Article 6: Foreign Nations, are prohibited from stationing troops inside Confederacy's borders. Foreign ships may stop for refueling should their operation be peaceful. Article 7: The Confederacy will continue trading with nations both at war and peace, regardless of foreign policy or ideology. Article 8: The Confederacy will continue to allow the establishment of embassies in its sovereign territory. Other nations ratifying this treaty recognize, 1) The neutrality and sovereignty of the Confederacy Narikaton and Darnussia and guarantee its safety from their own military forces. 2) No nation signing this treaty is obliged to come to Confederacy's defense as a result of this treaty, although separate arrangements guaranteeing the Confederacy's neutrality may still be made. All signatories hereby agree to all of the articles within this treaty. |
